Employment centre for youth now open
The Camrose and Wetaskiwin Service Canada Centre for Youth (SCCY) is now open for business. We are happy to be open for the summer and to assist businesses and youth with their summer employment needs. SCCY creates a vital link between youth and employers. It helps young people by providing job postings, and by helping them with resume-building, interview techniques, and job search strategies. The Centre provides employers with a location to post job openings. SCCY also provides valuable information on health and safety in the workplace.
In the coming weeks, Youth Service Officers Jonathan and Kara will be available for local employers to contact for any assistance they may require. This year, employers interesting in using our services and youth looking for summer employment can visit the Wetaskiwin SCCY Wednesday afternoons between 1:00 and 4:30 p.m. at 5201-51 Ave. in the Macadil Building. They can also call (780)672-0505 Monday thru Friday, fax (780)672-1440, or email sccy.wetaskiwin@servicecanada.gc.ca. Job postings are available online at www.jobbank.gc.ca. For more information on Service Canada Centres for Youth and Service Canada programs and services, call 1-800-O-Canada or visit www.servicecanada.gc.ca
