Emerald Completes Well at Khurbet East Field in Syria

Emerald Energy Plc, the U.K. oil explorer operating in Colombia and the Middle East, said it completed the fifth production well for a reservoir at the Khurbet East field in Syria's Block 26.

The well will be tested after production facilities are installed in the third quarter of this year, the company, based in Douglas, Isle of Man, said today in a statement distributed by the Regulatory News Service. Emerald holds a 50 percent interest in Block 26.
