LWBJ Financial Sells LWBJ Pension Consultants to The Finway Group

(Business Wire) LWBJ Financial announced today that the company has sold LWBJ Pension Consultants to The Finway Group. Based in West Des Moines, The Finway Group was formed by former LWBJ Pension Consultants employees.

“The sale of this division is key to our strategy to focus on our core services, including providing the highest level of accounting, tax and business consulting,” Jeff Bartling, LWBJ Financial CEO, commented. “Our partner group wanted to be sure our clients would be comfortable with this move. The opportunity to spin off the Pension Consultants unit to employees who already have a solid relationship with our clients will make the transition seamless.”

Bartling said LWBJ will continue to offer executive compensation and benefits consulting through its CPA division.

Both companies are privately held. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
