Time-poor Brits have no room for financial planning
Thousands of hard-working young Britons are unable to spare the time to consider their financial future due to the long hours they are spending in the workplace, a survey has shown.
Brand Driver quizzed 2,683 young people on behalf of American Express to assess how demands on their time are affecting their lives.
Of those who responded, some 31 per cent said they have so little time that they have been unable to research pension schemes and make other provisions for when they give up work.
Meanwhile, a further 31 per cent said they are too busy to even sort out their immediate financial situation or check their bank statements.
Chris Rolland, head of American Express Insurance Services, commented: "Young working Brits have a lot of pressures and face a lot of choices in today's busy working life. The more choices they have, the less time they end up having."
