Global Payments Introduces Next Generation Transaction Processing Platform

(NYSE: GPN:  36.73, -1.44, -3.77%), a leading provider of electronic transaction processing services, today announced the introduction of a next generation payment processing platform, Global Transport(TM:  104.47, +0.53, +0.50%). Global Transport was designed with a uniform application programming interface supported by multiple communications options to simplify and speed integration to the merchant's payment acceptance environment for debit, credit, and EBT transaction processing.

In addition, Global Transport will both enhance Global Payments' ability to meet the growing demand for integrated Point-of-Sale payment processing solutions and reduce the complexity of integrating payments processing for software and hardware OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).

"Global Transport enables our electronic payment systems to effortlessly integrate to the most current technologies such as Web Services, Java and .Net that are now in demand by leading software and hardware OEMs. Coupled with our newest Software Development Kit, Global Transport has significantly enhanced the ease of integration and certification to our hosts and the response by the OEM community has been outstanding," said Vice President of Product, Global Payments Inc., Dean Giancola.

"Utilizing Global Payments' Global Transport host platform, it takes only a few days for an experienced developer to produce a working solution. Global Payments' support personnel were always helpful and willing to go the extra mile to ensure our success. Overall it was the easiest integration I've worked on in years and enabled us to extend the functionality of our Retail Management System Programs," said Chief Technology Officer of Microhouse, Mikhail Tsaritsyn, a North American retail software developer and OEM.

Sales and Marketing Director for NitroSell, Dominic Frazer, another OEM, said, "The high speed, secure connection that we have with Global Payments is a significant advantage to our clients. The new, integrated online payment solution utilizing Global Transport means that our customers can now process card payments more quickly and track them online."
