Glenn E. Floyd, of the Floyd Law Firm, P.C., recently received an award at the National Association of Bond Lawyers annual meeting in Chicago. The award is for Floyd's creating and initial funding of the Carlson Prize, which goes to authors of scholarly articles in The Quarterly Newsletter and The Bond Lawyer, both association publications. Floyd is a charter member of the Bond Lawyers Association, initiated in 1979, which now has over 3,200 members.

Dean York, chief financial officer of Nextep, has been named to the Employer Service Assurance Corporation (ESAC) Board of Directors. ESAC provides financial assurance to clients through surety bonds held by the Employer Services Trust on behalf of human resources outsourcing firms. Nextep provides payroll, benefits, workers' compensation administration and other human resource services to small and medium size businesses.
