AARP volunteer tax preparers sought

The AARP Tax Aide Group is recruiting people to assist the area's low- and middle-income senior citizens with income tax preparation.

The group offers free seasonal tax preparation assistance to residents. The program is sponsored by AARP, the Internal Revenue Service and the state Department of Revenue.

Participants are invited to attend training sessions in December and January. Previous tax preparation experience is helpful but not required.
